Why KYC is Required

ClashLobby requires identity verification to:

  • Verify age (18+ mandatory) under Nigerian law
  • Prevent fraud and protect our community
  • Enable secure reward withdrawals
  • Maintain platform integrity
  • Comply with financial regulations

Required Documents

Accepted Government-Issued IDs:

  1. National Identity Card (NIN) - Preferred
  2. Driver's License
  3. Permanent Voter's Card

Information Needed:

  • Full legal name (must match ID exactly)
  • Date of birth
  • ID number
  • Clear photo of ID front (max 5MB)

Verification Process

  1. Upload ID Document
    • Automatically optimized for security
    • Watermarked with verification details
  2. Admin Review
    • Typically completed within 1-6 hours (business hours)
    • May take longer during high volume periods
  3. Notification
    • Email notification when approved or rejected
    • Reason provided if rejected
  4. Resubmit if Needed
    • Clear instructions provided for resubmission

Privacy & Security

  • All documents are encrypted during storage and transmission
  • Only authorized admins can access KYC data
  • Documents deleted within defined retention period after verification
  • Never shared with third parties except as required by law

After Verification

Once verified, you receive:

  • ✅ Full platform access
  • ✅ Ability to withdraw rewards to bank account
  • ✅ Higher trust level in disputes
  • ✅ "Verified" badge on profile

Common Rejection Reasons

Your verification may be rejected if:

  • ID photo is unclear, blurry, or incomplete
  • ID has expired
  • Name doesn't match profile information
  • Under 18 years old
  • Suspected fraudulent document

Appeal Process

If your verification was rejected unfairly:

  2. Provide additional documentation if available
  3. Admin will review your case
  4. Final decision communicated within 24-48 hours

Note: Admin decisions are final.

Timeline Requirements

  • Submit ID within 7 days of signup
  • Can browse platform without verification
  • Cannot join competitions without verification
  • Account access limited after 7 days without verification
